Stephen R. Rusch

Steve Rusch brings the Power of More^® to clients of Gray Strategic Partners by making full use of his nearly 30 years of investment banking experience to support and advance their transactional plans. He has extensive transaction experience across a range of corporate and financial advisory assignments, including mergers & acquisitions, the structuring of joint ventures, and debt & equity offerings in both the public and private markets. Steve has advised on over 100 M&A deals and been involved in numerous transactions to raise debt and equity capital for clients.

Steve’s background includes working with public and private companies, family-owned businesses, start-ups and financial-investor-owned businesses of all sizes and at all stages of development, across a wide range of industries including energy, general industrial, natural resources, consumer & retail, and food & beverage.  His experience in the food, beverage and agriculture sector ranges from branded products to ingredients, distribution and logistics.  Steve also has extensive experience in cross-border transactions.

Prior to joining Gray Strategic Partners, Steve held senior positions at middle-market investment banking firms Piper Jaffray and Canaccord Genuity. He also worked in the merger departments of Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, as well as the New York merger boutique firm Sagent Advisors. Additionally, Steve co-founded a capital advisory firm in Latin America and served as Chief Financial Officer of a west coast hydrogen business.      

A cum laude graduate of Georgetown University School of Foreign Services, Steve holds FINRA (Financial Services Regulatory Authority) Series 7 and 63 licenses.
